Corporate Tax Manager - Hybrid (3 days office/2 work from home)\n\nOur client is a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in central Manchester.\n\nDue to continued growth they are looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join their well-established and supportive tax team whihh has a strong reputation for delivering expert advice across a broad range of tax matters.\n\nThey are looking for a motivated tax professional to manage a diverse portfolio of corporate clients and provide high-quality advisory and compliance services.\n\nClients range from sole traders and business start-ups to multi-million-pound limited companies and partnerships.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual looking to take the next step in their career within a growing, supportive, and professional environment.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualified.\n\n * Minimum of 5 years’ corporation tax experience in a professional practice.\n\n * Strong analytical and quantitative skills٫ with accuracy and attention to detail.\n\n * Experience managing client relationships and handling a portfolio independently.\n\n * Ability to mentor and support junior team members.\n\n * Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nAs a Corporate Tax Manager, you will:\n\n * Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, including Owner-Managed Businesses (OMBs), SMEs, and larger corporate groups.\n\n * Oversee corporate tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate tax return submissions, and advising clients on payments including quarterly instalment payments.\n\n * Advise on tax planning opportunities, including corporate structuring, R&D tax relief, capital allowances, and other incentives.\n\n * Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients and manage tax risk and compliance matters.\n\n * Provide support on more complex tax advisory projects, tax due diligence, share valuations, and international tax matters.\n\n * Develop and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical and professional growth.\n\n * Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for tax matters.\n\n * Stay up to date with tax legislation.\n\n * Ensure that assignments are completed within budget and all parties are kept informed of overruns.\n\n * Manage WIP and billing process on your portfolio of clients.\n\nBenefits:\n\n * Generous holidays – 23 days plus bank holidays.\n\n * Flexible benefits package including discount portal.
