Estimator / Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering

Estimator / Quantity Surveyor (Dual Role)\nSalary: Competitive, dependent on experience\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our team in a dual-role position, supporting the successful delivery of civil engineering projects from tender stage through to final account.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional who is confident in both estimating and quantity surveying and is looking to play a key role within a growing business.\n\nThe Role\n\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and managing the commercial aspects of projects throughout their lifecycle.\n\nKey duties include:\n\n * Preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions for civil engineering projects\n\n * Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation\n\n * Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations\n\n * Producing cost plans, budgets and pricing schedules\n\n * Contract administration and commercial management of projects\n\n * Valuations, variations and cost reporting\n\n * Managing subcontractor accounts and payments\n\n * Preparing and negotiating final accounts\n\n * Identifying commercial risks and opportunities\n\n * Working closely with operational teams to ensure projects remain on budget and programme\n\nRequirements\n\n * Minimum 5 years' experience in both estimating and quantity surveying within the civil engineering sector\n\n * Strong understanding of civil engineering methods, contracts and commercial processes\n\n * Experience pricing and managing a range of infrastructure and groundworks projects\n\n * Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications\n\n * Excellent numerical, analytical and negotiation skills\n\n * Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities\n\n * Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating/commercial software\n\n * Full UK driving licence preferred\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n * Competitive salary package\n\n * Long-term career development opportunities\n\n * Supportive and collaborative working environment\n\n * Opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of civil engineering projects\n\n * Stable and growing business with an excellent pipeline of work
