Interim Finance Control & Reconciliations Lead

Job Description

We are partnering exclusively with a leading business services provider, in their search for an Interim Finance Control & Reconciliations Lead. This is a 3-month temporary role (with a high likelihood of extension) based in Leeds offering a hybrid working model (3 days in office) and a day rate between £220 to £260 per day via umbrella.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will provide immediate capacity to a busy finance team supporting a large public sector contract. This is a hands-on, proactive role focused on strengthening daily business-as-usual operations, ensuring stringent reconciliations are met , and supporting urgent year-end audit requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nReconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank, revenue, and cash banking reconciliations to meet strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).\nGeneral Ledger: Prepare and manage General Ledger (GL) and balance sheet reconciliations.\nAudit Support: Support external audit remediation by gathering evidence and addressing queries before the March 31st year-end deadline.\nFinancial Operations: Assist with month-end close tasks, including Direct Debit, credit card, and payment reconciliations.\nProcess Improvement: Identify efficiency gains and assist with the documentation of finance processes and internal controls.\nReporting: Support the preparation of monthly reporting and perform data analysis using Excel.This role could be right for you if you have:\n\nQualifications: Ideally part-qualified level (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).\nTechnical Skills: Strong experience in finance operations with high-volume transactions.

Proficiency in Oracle is highly desirable.\nExcel & Systems: Advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables for data manipulation.\nAudit Experience: Proven track record of dealing with audit queries and supporting external audit processes.\nSoft Skills: A proactive, reliable, and organised approach with the ability to "hit the ground running" in a fast-paced environment.Randstad Financial & Professional encourage applications from individuals of all ages & backgrounds.
