This highly regarded, warm, and welcoming community school supports pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).\n\nIf you want to make a tangible difference in a school known for its exceptional facilities, sensory rooms, and child-centred ethos, this role is perfect for you.\n\nKey Responsibilities as an SEN TA:\n\nProvide tailored, person-centred support to children and young people with complex needs (SLD/PMLD).\n\nAssist with sensory integration, communication aids (such as PECS/Makaton), and physical/hydrotherapy sessions where required.\n\nSupport personal care and mobility needs with dignity and absolute respect.\n\nWork closely with class teachers, therapists, and supportive families to foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.\n\nEngage students in creative, interactive, and messy play activities to build cognitive and emotional development.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For:\n\nExperience: Proven experience working with children or young adults with complex SEND (SLD, PMLD, ASD, or complex medical needs).\n\nSkills: Knowledge of sensory circuits, moving and handling, or alternative communication methods is highly advantageous, though personal qualities are key.\n\nAttributes: A naturally empathetic, patient, and resilient nature.
