Astute's Power Team is partnering with a leading District Heating company to recruit a Senior Combustion Engineer for their sites in London and the South.\n\nThe Senior Combustion Engineer role comes with a competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum + private medical insurance, company van and full benefits package.\n\nIf you're an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer and are looking to join a company with amazing progression opportunities, then submit your CV to apply today.\n\nResponsibilities and duties of the Senior Combustion Engineer role\n\nReporting to the Technical Manager you will:\n\nCarry out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial heating plant and equipment, including gas boilers, pumps, actuators, heat exchangers, pressurisation units, and associated pipework.\nAttend emergency call-outs and participating in the on-call rota (typically 1 in 4) to resolve plant failures and reinstate heating systems.\nManage technical and project work, including root cause analysis, plant remediation planning, safe isolation procedures, and provide technical support to colleagues when required.\nMaintain accurate records and compliance, ensuring work orders, maintenance logs, and CRM systems are updated.\nSupport team development by training and mentoring new engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nProactively contribute to H&S improvements and incentives \n\nProfessional qualifications \n\nWe are looking for someone with the following:\n\nA minimum of 2 years' experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer or similar.\nKnowledge of heat network energy centres and plant rooms.\nNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Gas or Plumbing\nCommercial Gas registration\nFull, clean UK Drivers Licence \n\nPersonal skills \n\nThe Senior Combustion Engineer role would suit someone who is:\n\nConfident to work independently and as part of a wider team\nLooking for meaningful progression within a fast-growing company\nHappy with travel as part of a field-based role \n\nSalary and benefits of the Senior Combustion Engineer role \n\nBasic salary between £52,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE)\nCompany van, laptop and mobile\nPrivate healthcare\n25 days holiday + Bank Holidays with option to buy/sell an additional 5 days per year\nContinued learning and development\nOpportunity to join a fast-growing market-leader in district heating.\n #LI-MB1\n INDPOW\n\nAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
